Ornamentalgrasses respond to drought in similar ways: the warm season grasses generally have thicker roots as well as narrow leaves and are able to grow through the dry seasons. A key benefit of this ornamentalgrass is that it's drought-tolerant – it can grow well in climates that are on the drier side. Blue Grama can be used as an ornamentalgrass in flowerbeds, hell-strips, or just drought-prone areas.
